I write fiction, essays, and poetry.
When I'm not writing, I'm traveling as much as possible, reading, playing in my garden, and hanging with friends.
I was born in Tacoma, Washington, and grew up in a farming and logging community south of the city. After wandering around the US, I ended up in Seattle where I've lived for 45 years, except for four years I spent in Japan. I've had short stories and poetry published in, among others, Edge, Women's Words, Cicada, Bellowing Ark, New Mexico Humanities Review, Backbone, Aji, and Plants and Poetry. My poems were also included in the Washington State Poet Laureates’ 2014 and 2017 collections.
